You can know your team inside out and still choose the wrong market. For example, “over 2.5 goals” is not the same as “over 2 goals”. The half unit avoids an exact tie with the line; a whole-number line may allow a refund under the rules. Also check whether the market covers the first half or the full match.

Decimal odds multiply your stake to express the total return if you win and the bet slip is valid. That return includes the stake. Subtracting it reveals the bet’s profit, without confusing it with the full amount you receive.
